In recognition of Diabetes Awareness Month, Iredell Health System's Diabetes staff will provide free glucose screenings on Monday, November 3, 2009 from 9:00 - 1:00 pm at the Diabetes Center located on the main hospital campus.
The American Diabetes Association estimates that nearly 8% of the American population, or 23.6 million children and adults, have diabetes while another 5.7 million go undiagnosed. Early detection is important to help you make the best choices to improve your health.
In addition to glucose screenings, staff will be available to answer questions regarding risk factors, signs and symptoms and treatment options.
